I moved to Florida over 5 years ago to start my life over. I’ve live in the upper midwest for most of my life and to this day, I’ve never regretted my decision. Living in the Black Hills was great, don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed the beautiful spring days, the wonderful drives through the canyons in the fall. What really was very hard for me was the 9 months of winter. I lived pretty high in the Black Hills, so I was one of the last people to get a snow. Often it would snow even into June. I was always guaranteed to see snow in May. With that said, it seems as if my mind had always been planning of moving me to Florida. Ever since I was a kid in college in Aberdeen, it seemed I would day dream about the white sand beaches and beautiful weather 365 days a year. I’ve got to tell you I never really believed I would move. I’m not sure what my hold back really was. I’ve thought about that too.
Since I’ve moved, I’ve never had any regrets. However, there are some changes you do have to get used to. For example, there are just more people, more cars and with that comes some changes. Living in the Black Hills, yes time seems to go by slower. However, in Florida traffic can make you go slower. Oh, the traffic her is pretty bad just about anytime. Other than that, the trade off has been well worth the exchange. I know call Florida Home.
